Description
Because of their Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, Swagtron hoverboard models use this special Mini 3-prong charger port. This charger port connects your battery directly to your charger. The special mini size is designed so the user cannot plug in a standard battery 3-prong or XLR charger made for sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries. SLA chargers may damage Li-ion batteries.
We offer these charger ports with your choice of a 2-pin or a 4-pin connector.
Note: Because the white connector is larger than the threaded nut inside diameter, cutting and splicing of wires will be needed during install of this replacement wiring harness. In addition, please refer to the photograph to make sure that both connectors match what your hoverboard requires.

We have the swagtron T1 and need to replace the charger port. how do I know if need 2 port or 4 port? I was going to order and bring to technician to install
You will need to disassemble the Swagtron T1 to see the end connectors.

Come to find out the 580 Vibe and the 580 twist use different plugs on the end. mine has a lot smaller two prong plug on it and the wires are longer than this one is. Do not order this if you have the twist instead of the vibe. It will cost as much to return them as it is to keep them, so if needed, I will resolder the ends to the new plug. Luckily the peg that broke off was the one not used.

My son broke his hoverboard charging port. I'm not savvy in anything like parts or electronic repair. I googled what I needed and found this site. Super cheap part. It fixed the problem and he's zooming around on his board again. Shipping was fast. Completely satisfied!
