ATV & Dirt Bike Petcock Fuel Valves

The ATV and dirt bike petcock (also known as a fuel valve or fuel switch), is a small valve that controls the flow of fuel from the tank to the carburetor. Most petcock models are based on a common ball or gate valve design and these ATV parts can often be found on a multiplicity of scooters, ATVs, dirt bikes, dune buggies, go-karts and a wide range of gas-burning recreational outdoor machines.

A 3-position petcock (OFF / ON / RESERVE) is especially useful on powersports equipment that lacks a fuel gauge. Many older motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, and go-karts used a small auxiliary reserve tank instead of a standard fuel gauge. If you needed to switch to RESERVE you knew it was time to fill up your regular tank.
