Street scooters will follow a format such as: 669-18-30
CVT / Variable speed belts (V-Belts) are dimensioned as follows:
669-18-30
669 (First number in the series) = The length of the belt in millimeters.
18 (Second number in the series) = The width of the belt in millimeters.
30 (Third number in the series) = The angle of the teeth on the belt.
Recreational scooters will follow a format such as: 560-5M/15
Drive motor belts are dimensioned as follows:
560-5M/15
The first number represents the length of the belt loop (560 mm in this example).
The second number represents the peak to peak tooth spacing (5 mm in this example).
The third number represents the width of the belt (15 mm in this example).
This measurement is sometimes printed on the belt in different ways, depending on the belt manufacturer. For example, 560-5M/15 can also be shown as 5605M15, 560-5M, or 5M560. Other variations are possible.
