The pedal assist sensor for HeyBike electric bicycles is every bit as important to your HeyBike electric bike as the battery or controller. A pedal assist sensor works by monitoring each revolution of the pedal. It signals the hub motor to give your motor additional rotation based on your chosen level of assistance. Pedal assist units such as this one consist basically of a doughnut-shaped sensor and a wire harness.
