Description
Description
This 24 volt 2.0 amp battery charger by Universal Power Group (model 24BC2000T-4) is for sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries of 7 Ah or larger. It fits electric scooters, mobility scooters and power chairs with an off-board female XLR charging socket, including the Rascal Conquest 3-Wheel (RSC103) and the EV Rider TranSport Plus and MiniRider Lite. A 3-prong adapter plug is included.
It uses a 3-stage charge (bulk, absorption, float) and shuts off automatically when charging is complete, then holds the battery in float mode so it can stay connected. It has short circuit, reverse polarity and low voltage protection, and LEDs show power and charging status. Charging time depends on how depleted the batteries are.
Please note: The low voltage protection will not let the charger start unless the battery pack has at least 16 volts. Packs below that level can't be recovered, and the charger will not output any voltage to the XLR connector until connected to a pack that meets this minimum.
This charger has a 1-year warranty covering defects in material and workmanship.
