All it takes is a loose throttle pot spring to seriously effect the performance of your ActiveCare Pilot or Prowler scooter. If your scooter is acting "possessed" such as moving on its own ever so slightly, then a worn-out spring is very often the culprit. If your "wig-wag" lever feels loose or sloppy, that is also a good indicator it is time to replace that essential little spring.
You could pay close to a hundred dollars to replace the entire throttle pot assembly. Or you can pay half the price and with a little tinkering of an Allen wrench and a pair of pliers replace just the spring. Now you can ride safely once again!
