Throttle Potentiometer Assembly for the Golden Technologies Companion I & II (GC240, GC340, and GC440)

Here is a throttle potentiometer (throttle pot) assembly for the Golden Technologies Companion I & II (GC240, GC340, and GC440) mobility scooters.Monster Scooter Parts lets you choose the potentiometer as an assembly with the wire harness, lever, and bracket, or you can just buy the pot alone. If you can attach your own wiring, you can save some money!

Note: If you choose the "without harness" option, we strongly recommend soldering the wiring for a proper connection. A patient mechanic with perfect eyesight might be able to thread the wires through the connector loops and crimp them securely, however we discourage this in lieu of proper soldering.

The "with harness" option comes complete with the throttle potentiometer, "wig-wag" lever, bracket, and the pre-attached wiring.

The throttle pot is sometimes called the engager or throttle switch. If your scooter has a faulty throttle potentiometer, it can cause a "jerky" motion while the lever is being pressed, and eventually no forward or backward motion at all. Before your scooter totally stops running due to a bad throttle pot, get a new one from Monster Scooter Parts and keep on scooting.

Please check the Compatibility tab to make sure that this pot is correct for your Golden Technologies Companion. Only the GC240, GC340, and GC440 series Companion scooters use this item. Note that this unit is only for the newer (or 2nd generation) versions of these scooters. The older versions of the Companion scooter (GC221, GC321, and GC421) use the Throttle Pot Assembly (Type 2) for the Golden Technologies Companion II GC221, GC321, GC421.
