Puncture protection comes from K-Guard, a layer of natural rubber reinforced with Kevlar fibers that sits beneath the tread. It adds flat resistance without making the ride feel stiff or harsh. The tire is built on Schwalbe's 50 EPI Active Line casing for durability and a supple feel.
Schwalbe's 2Grip sidewalls are completely smooth, so the tire glides past your hands as you push the handrims. It's a small detail that makes a real difference in comfort over a full day of propelling.
This is a pneumatic, tube-type tire with a wire bead. Recommended pressure is 50 to 70 PSI, so you can run it softer for comfort and shock absorption or firmer for lower rolling resistance. It has a gray tread with black sidewalls and a maximum load of 165 lbs per tire.
