Description
If your local e-bike regulations require a pedelec for street-legal compliance, then our pedelec for Golden Motor hub motors like the Smart Pie or Magic Pie may be just the item you need. This is easy to install, simply plug into the main wiring harness using a three pin connector.
The Golden Motor pedelec (also known as a pedal-assist, or PAS) senses the rider's pedaling and provides full throttle. When the pedelec senses that the pedaling has stopped, it cuts power to the throttle. As long as you’re pedaling the motor accelerates at full speed. Then when you stop pedaling the motor stops. Yes, it's that simple.
Although this system is required in some locations (i.e., Japan, the E.U, et al.), it may be unnecessary in others. Please check with your local vehicle regulatory agency for more information concerning the use of pedelecs in your area.
Please note that this pedelic unit is designed to only be used with the relatively low powered electric motors in the 24 volt 250 watt class that use a freewheel. It is not recommended for e-bikes using higher wattage motors.
Golden Motor Technology: PED-001
