Description
Have you been trying to find the right size tube at the best prices in town? We offer a selection of heavy duty thorn resistant bicycle inner tubes with a straight Presta valve in a number of sizes. In addition to their rim dimensions, these tubes are identified with the valve length (in millimeters) at the end of their size designations. For instance our 700x18-23 / 32 mm tube uses a 32 mm Presta valve, while the 700x35-43 / 48 mm model sports a longer 48 mm valve.
The Presta valve is sometimes called a French valve as per its Gallic origins and is used on many mountain and street bikes. With a narrower 6 mm diameter than the more common 8 mm Schrader valve, the Presta valve is especially popular on bikes using relatively narrow rims and tires. These examples offer a thicker, more durable rubber construction that provide a better protection against common road hazards like thorns and other nasty surprises.
Note: When inflating a bike tube, please use your best judgment. The recommended PSI for an inner tube can vary depending on elevation and air pressure, and should not be taken as absolute.
