Description
Description
Here is an item that is as rare as hens' teeth. Our orange-colored DC High Performance CDI Module (Ignitor) for 50cc, 90cc, 110cc, 125cc, & 150cc gas scooters and ATVs sports a 6-pin (4+2) rounded connector, and is especially useful for those KYMCO machines with their DC system. This is a "no-rev limit" module that offers a 5 to10% acceleration increase and better top speed.
This is a Direct Current (DC) module and is only compatible with machines that use a DC electrical system. There is a very simple way to determine if your ATV or scooter uses a DC or AC system. Turn your ignition key to ON position but do not start the engine. Flip your light switch to ON. The light will shine if it is on a DC system. With an AC electrical system, the engine needs to be running for the lights to come on.
A note on color:
These high performances CDI modules are produced in both an Alternating Current (AC) and a Direct Current (DC) version but are visually almost identical. To distinguish between the two versions the manufacturer uses two different shades of orange.
The DC module is enclosed in a deeper, richer, and more vivid orange similar to the color used on traffic cones or life vests.
The AC module uses a paler orange casing, somewhat more faded in comparison to its DC sibling.
