The brake assembly for Golden Patriot (GR575) scooter mounts directly to the motor assembly. If you need a new brake, we have the correct replacement brake unit for the Patriot scooter direct from Golden.
Scooter brakes can also be disengaged by means of a manual clutch or lever which allows a freewheel, or "push-me mode", even if the batteries are dead or removed from the scooter. Electromagnetic brakes used on mobility scooters are sometimes refered to as "electromechanical" brakes, but both terms may be used interchangeably as they refer to the same thing.
