Description
Description
If the pendant on your Golden or UltraComfort lift chair has stopped responding, sticks between positions, or has worn or cracked buttons, this is the genuine Golden factory hand control — the same part that ships with a new chair.
Six buttons give you independent control of all three motions: two for recline, two for the footrest and two for lift. Because the backrest and footrest move separately rather than on a single linkage, the chair stops anywhere you release the button — that is what Infinite Position means in practice, and it is why these chairs reach positions a standard two-motor recliner cannot.
Quick way to identify this control: the faceplate is marked Infinite Positions. If your current hand control says that, this is your part.
Confirmed compatible Golden models:
- PR117
- PR119
- PR502
- PR505
- PR531
- PR535
Also fits these UltraComfort models:
- UC550
- UC551
- UC552
- UC553
- UC559
Also fits earlier, pre-AutoDrive versions of these Golden MaxiComfort chairs: Cirrus (PR508), Cloud (PR510) and Relaxer (PR756).
Important if you have a PR508, PR510 or PR756. These chairs were built in two generations. The earlier ones use this Infinite Positions control with fixed recline, footrest and lift buttons. The later ones use Golden's AutoDrive system, whose control has pre-programmed position buttons — Total Comfort, TV Watching, Zero Gravity — and a memory button. If your current hand control has named position buttons instead of Infinite Positions on the face, you need an AutoDrive control (ZKAD-1 or the AutoDrive 3.0 range), not this one.
Before you order, check your connector. This control uses a round 5-pin plug. On both Golden and UltraComfort chairs it does not run directly to the motor — it connects to a quick-disconnect extension cable tucked into the side pocket. Reach into the pocket, release the latch, unplug your current control and confirm the pin count before ordering.
Worth ruling out first: if the chair is dead but the buttons still light up, the fault may be the extension cable between the side pocket and the control box rather than the hand control itself. Give us a call and we can help you work out which part failed before you buy the wrong one.
Installation is straightforward: unplug the old control at the side-pocket disconnect and plug the new one in. No tools required.
Not sure whether this is your part? Call us at 800-798-0325 with your chair's model number and we'll confirm it before you buy.
