Description
Description
The 196cc 6.5 Hp Engine:
The 6.5 HP Honda clone mini bike engine is one of the most widely -- if not the widest -- used gasoline engines in the world today. Commonly known as the Honda-clone engine in reference to its initial brand, this design revolutionized the concept of small engines for both motorsports and portable utility equipment. This 196cc mini bike engine is a direct replacement for the 196cc or 212cc 6.5 Hp mini bike engines used on the Baja Motorsports Baja Blaster (BB65), Baja Dune (DN65), Mini Bikes MB165 & MB200, & Baja Sand Dog (SD65) and a whole host of generators, pressure sprayers, water pumps, snow blowers, and a thousand other products.
This EPA certified mini bike engine is a single-cylinder air-cooled engine ideal for lightweight applications, including custom projects. With Monster Scooter Parts' convenient inventory of spare and replacement parts, there is no longer any need for the home mini bike builder to scrounge second-hand "junk engines" and mini bike parts as was all too often the case in years past. This engine includes the manual pull start, air filter, carburetor, fuel tank, muffler, and spark plug as shown. Please refer to the Specifications for more detailed information.
The Clutch:
The clutch assembly with a 3/4" shaft bore and a 12 tooth #35 chain sprocket for mini bikes is a very useful piece of drive system hardware that offers a multiplicity of applications. The 3/4" shaft bore diameter is one of the most common sizes in small powersports machines, especially with aftermarket horizontal shaft gas engines. In addition, the #35 chain clutch sprocket fits is used on many gas scooters, gas pocket bikes, mini choppers, ATVs, go-karts, and dirt bikes. In addition, if you need a replacement pair of set screws, you will need our 1/4-28 x 5/8" Set Screws for Standard Go-Kart & Mini Bike Clutch Collars (Set of 2).
The #35 Open Loop Chain:
Our #35 open loop chain may be adapted for use on a wide range of mini bike brands and models. We include ten feet of #35 chain along with a master link. A bit stouter than the #25 chain used on electric models, the #35 offers enhanced durability to absorb the more powerful "oomph" of gasoline engines. Please note that you will need to shorten the chain yourself if the chain is too long for your application.
The Sprockets:
We offer this great mini bike engine & drivetrain kit with your choice of sprockets. Unlike the 12 tooth clutch sprocket, these drive sprockets are available in 60 tooth, 70 tooth, 72 tooth, and 75 tooth configurations. When selecting your sprocket option please refer to the Specs to the right side of this page. The primary consideration will be the number of mounting holes and spacing. A mini bike sprocket is an item that is usually quickly and easily replaced. Mini bike sprockets are designed to be used hard on uneven, unpaved surfaces, and chipped broken sprocket teeth, or bent mini bike rear sprocket discs are the normal hazards in the life of a mini bike. If such a minor tragedy occurs on your mini bike, we are still here for you with the right replacement.
All in all, any of our 6.5 HP mini bike engine & drivetrain sit with #35 chain and sprocket combinations is an incredibly good deal for the mini bike enthusiast. In addition, we will always be here for you to provide the replacement wheels, tires, brakes, throttles, bearings, and any other mini bike or powersports parts and accessories that you need.
