Description

This 24 volt 8 amp AGM/gel battery charger for Permobil power chairs is made by Universal Power Group (UPG), a respected maker of batteries and chargers for the medical and mobility industry. Invacare also uses this charger as original equipment on several of its power chairs.

It is suited to batteries of 17 Ah or larger on chairs and scooters with an off-board female XLR charging socket. Set the selector switch to AGM or gel to match your batteries. The charger uses a 3-stage process (bulk, absorption and float), switches to float mode automatically to prevent overcharging, and can stay connected indefinitely to keep the batteries topped up. Charging time varies with how depleted the batteries are.

Three LEDs show power on, charging and charged. The charger is protected against short circuits, reverse polarity, over-current and over-voltage. As a safety feature, it will not start charging a battery that has dropped below 9 volts. It is a lightweight switch-mode design, UL listed, for dry locations only.

This charger is covered by a one-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship from the date you receive it.
