The 24 Volt 6.4 Ah Lithium ion battery pack upgrade kit with a 24 Volt Smart charger for eZip & IZIP Rack Mounted Battery (RMB) electric bikes is a serious step forward for Currie, and for serious e-bikers in general. This optional upgrade system replaces the old rack mounted sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries Currie used on some of their best selling electric bikes.
At 5 lbs., this battery pack is half the weight of an SLA system. This Currie LiFePo4 battery pack offers more longevity, (500 plus charges), and even quicker recharging than was possible just a half-decade ago. If you have one of Currie's SLA-powered RMB e-bike models, then you may want to consider this 21st century system upgrade.
Because you cannot use a standard SLA type battery charger with Li-ion batteries, Currie has paired this new battery pack with its own special charger; the Lithium ion K2 Energy 24 volt, 3 amp Smart charger.
