XLR-4 Battery Chargers

The 4-pin XLR connector may not be as common as the ubiquitous 3-pin variety, but XLR-4 battery chargers can be found putting the go-juice back into some popular electric scooter models.

Like its 3-pinned sibling, the XLR-4 was originally designed for audio-visual applications. The advantage of the XLR-4 for scooter chargers is an inert fourth (or "dummy") pin prevents the use of any incorrect chargers that could damage the scooter's electrical system.
