The Power Core E100 Kobalt shares many parts with the standard Power Core E100, but the main difference is that the Kobalt is powered by the same lithium battery as a Kobalt brand power tool. You simply have to take a Kobalt power tool battery and slide it into place at the base of the scooter's steering stem.
