Merits Travel-Ease Commuter Heavy Duty (P181) Power Chair Parts

This page covers replacement parts for the Merits Travel-Ease Commuter Heavy Duty (P181) power chair. The P181 requires two 12V 22NF batteries (we list a 55 Ah pack) and a 24V 5.0 or 8.0 amp off-board charger: 5.0 amp matches the original, while 8.0 amp charges faster. Drive wheels use 12-1/2"x2-1/4" foam-filled tires, and listed caster sizes are 8"x2" (200x50) and 2.80/2.50-4 (9"x3"). The drive wheel and VSI joystick are shared with other heavy-duty Commuter models (P182/P183/P184). The model number is on a label on the frame, usually under the seat.
