Merits Pioneer 2 Twin (S246) Scooter Parts

This page lists replacement parts for the Merits Pioneer 2 Twin (S246) mobility scooter. Part types include half U1 battery packs, a 24V 4.0 amp charger, 8"x2" tires and tubes, a red front wheel assembly, 9" foam-filled rear wheels, the motor and transaxle, a Rhino DS72K01 controller, throttle and speed pots, a red floorboard and a front basket.

The Pioneer 2 Twin requires two 12V 22 Ah batteries; we list the 22 Ah (20 Ah upgrade) pack and also an 18 Ah half U1 pack. A 24V 3.0 to 4.0 amp off-board charger is recommended: 3.0 amp keeps original equipment performance and 4.0 amp charges faster. Tires are 8"x2" (200x50). Many parts are shared with the Pioneer 1 (S235) and Pioneer 2 (S245). Check the model label on the frame, usually under the seat.
