Description

MBE-CHG35A-STD Golden Technologies 24V 3.5 Amp XLR Battery Charger for Companion I & II (GC240, GC340, GC440), LiteRider Envy (GP162 / GP162B), Alante Jr. (GP200), and Compass Sport (GP605).

This is the current off-board replacement for Golden’s MBE-CHG35A-STD. It is made by Universal Power Group as model 24BC3500T-4 and uses a standard 3-pin XLR plug.

Fits 2nd-generation Companion scooters only (GC240, GC340, GC440). It will not work on earlier Companion models GC221, GC321, or GC421, which used a different on-board charger.

Three-stage charging with automatic shutoff when the pack is full. A built-in safety lockout will not charge a battery that has dropped below 13.2 volts. For sealed lead acid (SLA / AGM / gel) 24V systems only — not for lithium packs.

Scooter charger for a Pride GOGo

I bought a charger when we first got the scooter. Had to also buy 2 batteries for it, due to being in storage for several years. I've used the first charger and lot smaller than the one I just purchased. I'd hook up the first charger, only to see the red light stay on even overnight. Now I tried charging the batteries and kept them charged monthly. So the scooter actually sets in the room without being used at all. I do not think the first charger was doing its job correctly, so that is why I purchased the second charger. Got it, first thing I notice was, it was considerable larger than the first one. I hooked up the second charger, and within 15 minutes I had a green light. I went to unplugged the new charger and notice that the plug into the batteries came out a lot easier than the old one. I used to have to tugged and wiggle the old one to get it to unplugged from the batteries. Not anymore. It was a little more expensive than I wanted to pay, forgot what I'd paid for the first one, but since using the second new one, I'm glad I did pay the amount. Yes If I needed another charger, I would buy this new one again.
