36 Volt 500 Watt Universal Speed & Voltage Controller for Scooters & Bikes

This 36 volt, 500 watt universal speed and voltage controller fits electric scooters, bikes and mopeds with 36 volt systems and 180 to 500 watt motors. It has a 14 amp maximum current and 8 connectors: battery, motor, brake lights, indicator, throttle ("to put"), brake and lock, plus one unused wire. You may need to cut and splice some of your old controller connectors.

It has been tested and verified with the 36 volt Minimoto products listed below. It is not compatible with go-karts or Jeep dune buggies.

Minimoto note: This controller does not support reverse or the reduced speed (training) mode. As a replacement, it gives forward operation only.

Connections:

• Battery: Black and red wires. Cut and splice to your existing battery connector or hard wire to the bike's wiring: black to black, red to red.
• Motor: Blue and yellow wires. Cut and splice to your existing motor connector or hard wire: blue to blue, yellow to red.
• Indicator: Small red and black wires. Battery charger connector, same as OEM; connect to the bike's "charge" connector.
• Lock: Blue and red wires. Key switch connector, same as OEM; connect to the bike's "lock" connector.
• To Put (throttle): Red, black and blue wires for a 3-wire hand throttle: black to black, red to red, blue to the third throttle wire.
• Brake: Yellow and black wires, same as OEM: black to black, yellow to red.
• Brake lights: Red and yellow wires. Connect to the bike's brake light connector.

When everything is connected you may have one wire left over; it is not used and can be ignored. All scooter controllers need a switch joined to the "Lock" connector to complete the circuit.
