                      Description
Your scooter could sure use a rear-view mirror, but your handlebar lacks the necessary threaded hole. If this sounds like a problem you have then take heart. We now offer this black anodized Universal Handlebar Mirror Clamp that will fit any and every scooter handlebar of the standard 7/8" diameter. The ubiquitous 8mm x 1.25mm with right-hand thread accepts most mirror rods. Just secure the clamp tightly to the bar and then thread your mirror to the clamp. It's that simple.
Most scooter handlebar assemblies use the industrial standard 7/8" (aka 22mm) diameter. By design; this is the same standard that has been traditionally used on bicycles, light motorcycles, mopeds, electric mobility scooters, even on kids' kick scooters.
Until recently, many scooter models used different thread for the left side and the right. It was common for the left-side handlebar to use a mirror with counter-clockwise thread, while its right-side twin used a clockwise thread. The theory was that wind resistance kept the mirrors from jiggling out due to vibration. The majority of scooters made today use the standard metric 8mm x 1.25mm with right-hand thread for both sides, and following suit, most mirrors are made to match.
