Description

It doesn't take much to turn your GY6 scooter, go-kart or ATV into a racing machine. Our high output ignition coil & CDI module (ignitor) set for 50cc to 150cc scooters, go-karts, and ATVs will put the "oompf" into your machine. If you run on a 4-stroke GY6 engine in the 50cc to 150cc class, this upgrade is a truly superlative bargain in replacement powersports parts.

Our high output ignition coil transforms the low voltage from the battery into the high voltage required for the spark plug to ignite the fuel/air mixture, giving you an estimated 20% increase in power. We have had a lot of happy customers because of this ignition coil, so we now make it even better by bundling this high output coil to a no-rev high performance CDI module. We offer this coil/CDI combination set in your choice of an AC or a DC CDI.

Our Alternating Current (or AC) High Performance CDI Module (Ignitor) sports a 6-pin (4+2) rounded connector and is one of the most common ignitors found on today's popular powersports models. This is a "no-rev limit" module that offers a 5 to10% acceleration increase and better top speed. The majority of GY6-powered machines use the AC system, while most KYMCO models (and a few others) use the less common Direct Current (or DC) electrical system. It is of vital importance to know which CDI your scooter or go-kart uses before ordering, so please read the product note below.

Note: Although they are dimensionally identical, our Alternating Current (AC) modules and Direct Current (DC) modules are not interchangeable. There is a very simple way to determine if your scooter uses an AC or DC system. Turn your ignition key to ON position but do not start the engine. Flip your light switch to ON. The light will shine if it is on a DC system. With an AC electrical system, the engine needs to be running for the lights to come on.
