24BC5000T-4 - 24 Volt 5.0 Amp XLR AGM/Gel Battery Charger (24BC5000TFG-1 Replacement) (CPC)

This 24 volt 5.0 amp XLR battery charger is the Universal Power Group (UPG) model 24BC5000T-4, which replaces the 24BC5000TFG-1. It is an advanced 3-stage switch-mode charger (bulk, absorption, float) for gel and AGM batteries.

Gel batteries last longer but are more sensitive to overcharging, and using an AGM charger on them leads to poor performance and early failure. This charger is optimized for gel batteries and is also safe for AGM, with an output of 28.8 volts. Note: Set the selector switch to GEL or AGM to match your batteries. The instructions may say "suitable for lead acid batteries only"; gel and AGM are both sealed lead acid batteries, so this is correct.

The charger shuts off automatically when charging is complete and then holds the battery in float mode, so it can stay connected. It has short circuit, reverse polarity and low voltage protection, and three LEDs show power on, charging and charged. It is UL Listed for dry location use only and comes with a one-year warranty covering defects in material and workmanship.
