Description

This 24 volt 8.0 amp 24BC8000T-4 battery charger from Universal Power Group (UPG) has an XLR plug and fits Shoprider scooters and power chairs with an off-board charging socket. Invacare also supplies this charger as original equipment on a number of its power chairs. It suits batteries of 17 Ah or larger.

A selector switch must be set to GEL or AGM to match your batteries. The charger uses a 3-stage process (bulk, absorption, float), shuts off automatically when charging is complete, and can stay connected to maintain a full charge. Charging time varies with how drained the batteries are.

It has short circuit, reverse polarity and low voltage protection, and LEDs show power on, charging and charged. As a safety feature, it will not operate if the batteries have less than 9 volts. It is UL listed for dry location use only and is covered by a 1-year warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
