Description
This hard PVC sleeve fits over an 11x7.10-5 slick tire to turn your go-kart or drift trike into a drifter. It limits rear tire traction and gives a faster drift effect. Slick tires in this size have been used on go-kart brands such as Sodikarts, Stratos and Remo.
Unlike sleeves that are slick inside and out, this one has radial ridges on its inside face that grip the tire rubber. That keeps the sleeve from slipping or spinning off if tire pressure runs low.
Installation: The sleeve is made to fit tightly. Let some air out of the tire, lubricate it with soap suds, then press the sleeve on; a wood or rubber mallet helps. Once it is in position, refill the tire to the correct pressure. Strips of self-adhesive grip tape (like skateboard deck tape) on the sleeve's inner face can help it hold even better.
