This is the genuine Pride Mobility OEM Charge360 battery charger, Pride part number ELE2301732, for the Pride Victory Platinum (SC710PLA) mobility scooter. It drops straight in as a replacement or as a second charger to keep at work, at a vacation home, or in the car.

The big advantage of this unit is output: it is a 5 Amp charger, not the 3.5 Amp charger that ships as standard on most mobility scooters and power chairs. That's roughly 40% more charging current, which means a depleted battery pack comes back to full noticeably sooner.

The Victory Platinum was offered with two battery options, and this charger is the right answer for both:

• Standard 35Ah U1 batteries – This is a straight speed upgrade over the 3.5 Amp charger. Same batteries, same routine, meaningfully less time tethered to the wall.
• Upgraded 50Ah batteries – This is the recommended charger for the 50Ah pack. A larger pack takes proportionally longer to fill, so the extra amperage is what keeps overnight charging comfortably overnight instead of stretching into the next day.

Red Connector for Sealed Lead-Acid — Not Interchangeable with the Green Lithium Charger

Pride builds the Charge360 line in two versions, and they are color-coded so you can tell them apart at a glance:

• Red label and red magnetic connector – sealed lead-acid (SLA). That is this charger, and it is what the Victory Platinum uses.
• Green label and green magnetic connector – lithium-ion. Used on Pride models fitted with lithium battery packs.

The two are not interchangeable. Lead-acid and lithium packs require completely different charging profiles, so the red SLA charger must not be used on a lithium-equipped scooter, and the green lithium charger must not be used on this one. If your scooter came with a green charger and a green charging port, this is not the correct replacement — you need the lithium Charge360 unit instead. Match the color before you plug in.

Charging uses the Pride® Exclusive Magnetic Connector by Aces Electronics. The magnetic plug auto-aligns and lights up the moment it seats correctly, so you can start a charge one-handed from almost any angle — a real difference for anyone with limited hand strength or dexterity who has struggled to line up a pin in a recessed port. If the cord gets bumped or snagged, the plug releases instead of dragging the charger off the table.

Inside is an advanced 3-stage switch mode circuit: bulk charge, absorption, then maintenance/float. Once the pack is full the charger drops into float automatically and holds it there, so it can stay connected indefinitely without overcharging. Short circuit, reverse polarity, and low voltage protection are all built in, and two LED indicators show charging progress and fault status at a glance. The switch mode design also keeps it far lighter than an old linear-style charger, which matters if you travel with it.
