The upper electronics kit for the Merits Pioneer 3 (S131/S1312/S1313/S132/S135) and Pioneer 4 (S141/S1412/S1413/S142/S145) mobility scooters comes ready to install. This unit includes the black plastic case, the internal electronics, fuse, and harness.
Scooter controllers are durable and dependable electronics, but any controller may become susceptible to moisture-induced internal corrosion damage from excessive humidity, especially if stored unused for any long period. Additionally; a controller can be damaged by electrical shorts resulting from incorrect battery connection. Scooter controllers are usually replaced as a unit rather than repaired.
