The 70 amp S-Drive controller for the Drive Medical Ventura & Ventura DLX mobility scooters is made by PG Drives, a respected name in mobility electronics. This controller is used on all Ventura series scooters, including the Ventura 3, Ventura 4, Ventura DLX 3, and Ventura DLX 4 models.
S-Drive controllers are durable and dependable electronics, but a mobility scooter controller is often susceptible to moisture-induced internal corrosion damage from excessive humidity, especially if stored unused for any long period. In addition, a scooter controller can be damaged by electrical shorts resulting from incorrect battery connection. Although controllers are not the least expensive of mobility scooter parts, they are often replaced as a unit rather than repaired.
