This hitch reducer will be used if you need to drop your hitch size down. This reducer will allow anyone with a Class III hitch (hitch opening is larger than 2" x 2") to drop that opening down to a Class II hitch.
The purpose of this hitch reducer is to allow you to mount a vehicle lift or wheelchair caddy (Pride Silver Star Manual Wheelchair Caddy) to your vehicle that only allows Class II or lower. This hitch reducer will save you quite of bit of money rather than buying a whole new hitch setup.
