                      Description
The M8-1.25 black jam nut is a common 8 mm size that finds a lot of use.
Jam nuts are commonly used as an additional lock or "jam" to prevent another nut from loosening. These are frequently used in conjunction with acorn nuts to secure a caster or other small wheel assembly to an axle.
Jam nuts are also used when space is at an absolute premium and a standard lock nut is simply too high. Pride Mobility uses this handy little jam nut on a number of their scooter and power chair applications including caster wheel assemblies, armrests, footrests, foot plates, and much more.
