Note: The series bar is disconnected during shipping which allows the battery to be legally shipped via ground or air services. At installation, you must assemble the series bar as shown below and torque the bolts to 75kg/cm (7.3nm or 68 inch/lb). The battery will measure 0 volts if the shorting bar is not connected. Adventure Power Phantom batteries are pre-charged to 70% - 90% of capacity at ship time, therefore, it is not required that the batteries be charged before use in your vehicle.
