The Companion I runs on two 12 volt U1 batteries wired together for 24 volts, and these connect with L-style post (nut and bolt) terminals.

Gel batteries hold up better than AGM when they're run down deep between charges, so they're a good pick if you use your scooter hard every day. They're sealed, spill-proof, maintenance-free and approved for air travel. New gel batteries reach full capacity after 15 to 20 charge cycles, and they should be charged with a charger that has a gel setting.

Replace your batteries when the scooter doesn't go as far as it used to, slows down on hills, or won't hold a charge after a full night on the charger. Replace both at the same time so they charge and wear evenly.

Prefer AGM or need it sooner? U1 35 Ah 24 Volt AGM Battery Pack (Set of 2) for the Golden Companion I (GC240/GC240C) Scooter

Fits: Golden Companion I (GC240 / GC240C)
Battery model: Universal Battery D5870 gel (2 per pack)
Equivalent to: MK Battery MU-1 SLD G
